Huge congratulations to Welsh Classic Trial winners, Porsche 911 mounted Paul Crosby and Andy Pullan, who finally overpowered Mark and Sue Godfrey’s little MGA on the last day after a titanic struggle lasting the whole event. Both crews are pictured below storming the Orme. Congratulations too to Andrew Bailey and Philippa Spiller, whose Bentley triumphed over Bill Ainscough and Jason Dearden’s rapid Frazer Nash on the first Welsh Heritage Trial. !

You raised £4,176 for Blind Veterans UK, and the final total will be even more. We’d like to addd our thanks to theirs for this - it’s a partnership that really works and we were delighted to visit their HQ on such a stunning day. You can see the ITV coverage of that on our website, under News. Special thanks are due to our event partners at North Wales Honda, Penderyn Welsh Whisky and Brantz Tripmeters, all of whom helped on the day. Gareth Hockridge of GRH Food Company not only navigated the closing car but provided your cheese and very good it is too - see grhfood.co.uk for more. Philip Pritchard of Ace Lolly made the ice lollies you enjoyed at the finish - see acelolly.com for more on this exciting young business.

A GREAT ROUTE, AND MORE
As you reached the finish almost all of you commented on the fine route. Fred Bent planned it this year and really delivered a cracking drive for both rallies, full of interest and with plenty to keep you engaged each day. Throughout the event you’ll have seen excellent marshals at every turn, too. Shon Gosling deserves our thanks for that and I specially want to thank him, our loyal marshals and all the area’s great motor clubs for their wonderful efforts. People knew we were coming; Rick & Kerry Bate saw to that with a massive PR effort, helped in a few places by keen support.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS LAST
With a good proportion of new and first time entrants this year it has been terrific to hear that you really enjoyed the event. This was particularly important on the Welsh Heritage Trial, where every impression was a first impression and all of them seem to have been positive! Encouraged by this, we’ll be building the event and I hope we can run more cars on the 2016 Welsh Heritage Trial as the good word gets around.

See you next year.
